HDFC Bank names Vibhash Naik as its next chief human resources officer

HDFC Bank has announced a key leadership change with the appointment of Vibhash Naik as its new Chief Human Resources Officer. His term will begin on February one, 2026. Naik currently serves as the CHRO at HDFC Life Insurance Company, where he oversees Human Resources, Learning and Development and Corporate Administration.

According to a regulatory filing, Naik played a major role in building a technology enabled people ecosystem during his fourteen year journey at HDFC Life. His work focused on improving employee experience, simplifying internal processes and fostering a strong culture of collaboration across the organisation.

Naik brings more than twenty five years of experience across multiple areas including Talent Management, Organisation Development, Performance Management, HR Technology and Rewards. The filing noted that he combines strategic thinking with a deep understanding of organisation and human behaviour.

Before joining HDFC Life, he held various roles at several companies, including an international investment firm, a wealth management company, a digital learning organisation and a global technology consultancy. In these positions, he contributed to the design and implementation of impactful HR practices across diverse industries and work environments.

Naik holds a Master’s degree in Labour Studies from the University of Mumbai, further strengthening his expertise in people and organisational management.
