In a move to strengthen India’s aviation maintenance ecosystem, Haveus Aerotech has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Karnataka government to establish an advanced MRO facility for ATR aircraft with an investment of ₹450 crore.
Under the agreement, the state government will support the company in securing necessary permissions, registrations, and incentives as per existing policies. The MoU aims to enable the project’s execution in a time-bound manner.
The proposed component MRO facility will be developed over a 5-year period and will offer services including ATR repairs, radome and nacelle maintenance, landing gear, and auxiliary power units (APUs). The project is expected to generate employment for around 100 people.
Earlier this month, the company received approval from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) to expand its services at its Bengaluru and Delhi facilities. The Bengaluru site now houses South India’s first and only service station authorised by Safran Cabin Germany, a global aircraft interiors firm.
“By investing in infrastructure and securing world-class OEM partnerships like Safran Cabin Germany, we are making aviation maintenance faster, cheaper, and more reliable within our own borders,” the Gurugram-based company said.
The development highlights growing investments in India’s aviation MRO sector, with a focus on building domestic capabilities and reducing reliance on overseas maintenance services.
