Happiest Minds Technologies, a prominent IT services company, has announced the appointment of Anand Balakrishnan as its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO), effective today, June 12, 2025. Balakrishnan takes over the role from Venkatraman Narayanan, who will continue to serve as the Managing Director of the company.
The appointment was formally approved by Happiest Minds’ board of directors, following recommendations from both the Audit Committee and the Nomination, Remuneration and Board Governance Committee.
Anand Balakrishnan brings over 20 years of extensive experience in financial management and accounting to his new position. His career history includes senior roles at several well-regarded organizations such as Marsh McLennan (formerly JLT), GE Healthcare, and Mindteck.
Balakrishnan was notably the CEO of the publicly listed IT services company, Mindteck, prior to joining Happiest Minds. During his six-year tenure at Mindteck, he was instrumental in enhancing financial discipline, improving operational efficiency, and guiding the company back to profitability through strategic business guidance.
Academically, Balakrishnan is an associate member of both the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and the Institute of Cost Accountants of India. He also holds a bachelor’s degree in commerce from Bangalore University and has passed the CPA examination conducted by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
This strategic hire underscores Happiest Minds’ commitment to strengthening its financial leadership as it continues its growth trajectory in the competitive IT services landscape.
