In a move aimed at strengthening operational efficiency, an aircraft engine services company in Hong Kong has partnered with an Indian technology firm to modernise its maintenance systems and support long-term growth.
Hong Kong Aero Engine Services Ltd (HAESL) has selected Indian IT firm HCLTech to upgrade its Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) operations. The collaboration focuses on improving efficiency, scalability, and real-time visibility across critical maintenance processes.
As part of the partnership, HCLTech will streamline HAESL’s MRO workflows to enable faster decision-making, better use of resources, and compliance with global aviation standards. The initiative is expected to support more efficient execution while preparing the organisation for future operational demands.
HCLTech said it will deploy its asset management platform, iMRO/4, as HAESL’s Maintenance Execution System (MES) in Hong Kong. The solution will serve as the digital backbone for managing maintenance activities across the organisation.
“By integrating iMRO/4 with SAP S/4HANA, we will enhance end -to- end traceability and provide a single view of the workflow from induction to release. This reduces barriers and improves execution efficiency.”
Ravinder Bedi, General Manager of Finance & Administration at HAESL, highlighted the importance of the collaboration in the company’s digital journey.
“Partnering with HCLTech marks a significant step in our transformation, creating a scalable digital foundation that supports operational excellence and long -term growth ,” he said.
The partnership reflects a growing focus within the aviation services sector on digital transformation, as MRO providers seek more connected systems to manage complex operations, improve transparency, and meet evolving regulatory requirements.
By implementing an integrated digital maintenance platform, HAESL aims to strengthen its operational framework and enhance its ability to scale efficiently in a highly regulated and competitive global market.
