Following an internet fraud case, Guwahati’s Cyber Crime team collected ₹1,14,870 on Friday, May 9, and credited the money to a victim’s bank account.
The victim had previously lost ₹2,93,995 in a cyber fraud crime, according to a message published on the Guwahati Police’s official X (formerly Twitter) feed.
“Further efforts are on to recover the remaining amount,” the police stated. Investigation is underway.
