In this role, Sherif will lead operations in Egypt, focusing on partnerships, innovation, and expanding patient access to healthcare solutions in a high-growth market.
Before rejoining GSK, Amin served as Country President – Levant at Novartis, where he oversaw regional strategy and business performance across major Middle East markets. Earlier, he was Country President at Novartis Egypt, driving growth and strengthening the company’s presence in a dynamic healthcare environment.
During his tenure with Novartis Oncology, he held several leadership roles, including General Manager for Egypt, Morocco, Tunisia, and Libya. In this capacity, he managed multi-country operations and built high-performing teams across diverse markets. He also served as Head of Policy and Market Access, Middle East & Africa, where he played a key role in shaping access strategies and stakeholder engagement across the region.
Earlier in his career, Sherif Amin worked with GlaxoSmithKline and Schering AG, starting as a medical representative and progressing into leadership roles over time.
With over 20 years of experience, including more than 15 years in leadership roles across the Middle East and Africa, he brings strong expertise in commercial strategy, market access, team leadership, and healthcare transformation.
His appointment is expected to support GSK’s continued growth in Egypt, with a focus on improving access to innovative healthcare solutions and strengthening its regional presence.
