Google has officially made its powerful Veo 3 and Veo 3 Fast video generation models available to all developers on Vertex AI. Until now, access was limited to developers in the closed beta program. With this announcement, any developer using Vertex AI can now use these models to build new tools, enhance apps, or integrate video generation into existing platforms.
The company confirmed in a blog post that the Veo 3 series is moving out of preview. These models were first introduced on the platform in June. Since then, over six million videos have been generated by developers using Veo 3.
Veo 3 is the premium model designed to create high-quality videos with realistic movement, physics, and detailed narrative-based scenes. It also includes support for native audio, allowing users to generate background sound and natural speech. Veo 3 Fast is a lighter version built for faster performance, while maintaining decent video quality. Initially, both models support only text-to-video generation, but starting August 1, Google will add image-to-video functionality.
Google has also revealed pricing for the models. Veo 3 costs $0.75 per second for video with audio, and $0.5 per second for video only. Veo 3 Fast is priced at $0.40 per second with audio and $0.25 per second without it.
Several well-known companies including Canva, BarkleyOKRP, and eToro are already using these models internally and within their customer offerings.
This expansion allows more developers to experiment with and adopt Google’s advanced video generation tools, opening doors to richer AI-powered visual experiences.
