Google has introduced clear guidelines for the use of its Gemini AI, specifying plan-wise limits for prompts, image generation, research reports, and other tools. This update provides much-needed clarity after months of general descriptions such as “limited access” and “expanded access.” The company has now published exact usage boundaries for free, Pro, and Ultra subscribers.
Usage Limits Across Plans
Free users can send up to five prompts per day using the Gemini 2.5 Pro model. Paid subscribers benefit from significantly higher limits, with Pro users allowed 100 daily prompts and Ultra users permitted up to 500 daily prompts.
For Deep Research reports, free users have access to five reports per day, while image generation is capped at 100 images daily. Both Pro and Ultra subscribers can generate up to 1,000 images per day.
Reminders and Safeguards
Google has introduced reminders that notify users when they approach their daily or monthly limits. These safeguards apply across prompts, reports, and AI-generated media. Limits may also vary depending on factors such as the complexity of prompts, file sizes, and conversation length. Users on the free plan may encounter restrictions sooner if demand rises.
