Google will host its biggest hardware showcase of the year on Wednesday, 20 August, unveiling the Pixel 10 smartphone series along with new wearables and audio devices. The event, branded Made by Google, will be livestreamed on the company’s official YouTube channel from 10 AM PT (10:30 PM IST).
The Pixel 10 lineup is set to headline the announcements, with four models expected: Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, Pixel 10 Pro XL and the foldable Pixel 10 Pro Fold. The standard Pixel 10 is tipped to see the biggest changes, including a new telephoto lens, a first for a non-Pro model, and colour options such as Indigo, Frost and Limoncello. It is expected to run on the Tensor G5 chip built by TSMC, supported by a nearly 5,000mAh battery.
The Pixel 10 Pro may feature a 6.3-inch AMOLED display, a 4,870mAh battery and colours including Moonstone, Obsidian, Jade and Porcelain. The larger Pixel 10 Pro XL is reported to offer a 6.8-inch display with up to 3,000 nits peak brightness, as much as 16GB RAM, storage up to 1TB, a 5,200mAh battery with 39W charging and a triple-camera system with 50MP, 48MP ultra-wide and 48MP telephoto sensors.
The Pixel 10 Pro Fold has already been teased, showing slimmer bezels and a 6.4-inch cover display. It is expected to carry a 5,015mAh battery with both wired and wireless charging, including Qi2 support, and the same Tensor G5 processor as the rest of the series.
Beyond smartphones, Google is also preparing to launch the Pixel Watch 4. The smartwatch will reportedly come in two case sizes, 41mm and 45mm, with both Wi-Fi and LTE versions. Pricing leaks suggest the 41mm Wi-Fi model may be priced at 349 dollars, while the 45mm LTE version may be 449 dollars. A new cradle-based charging system is expected to deliver faster speeds, with half a charge possible in just 15 minutes. Buyers may also receive limited-time access to Fitbit Premium and YouTube Premium.
The Pixel Buds 2a are also expected to debut as successors to the Buds A-series. The earbuds may launch in Iris, Strawberry and Fog Light, featuring improved sound clarity and battery life while keeping a familiar design. In some regions, they could be bundled with Pixel 10 devices.
