Users in India can now turn ordinary pictures into anime style art, sketches, comic style images or 3D inspired visuals using Google Photos Remix. The tool was earlier limited to the US but is now available in countries including Argentina, Bangladesh, Brazil, Colombia, Egypt, Indonesia, Japan and Turkey.
Google says Remix lets users reimagine any photo in their gallery by applying creative styles. Pick a style, choose a photo and let the tool generate a fresh version. The feature works with photos of people, pets or objects and is intended to make it simple to create shareable and visually distinct images.
According to Google, Remix uses generative AI to transform images into looks such as 3D animation, anime, sketch and comic book styles. The expansion adds new styles to give users more creative options. These styles aim to turn everyday images into eye catching artwork suitable for social media or personal galleries. Users can try multiple styles to see different results.
