Google Launches First Online Google Store in India, Sells Pixel Devices Directly

Google has officially launched its first online Google Store in India, representing a significant step in its retail strategy beyond the U.S. The store features direct sales of Pixel smartphones, such as the Pixel 9, 9a, and 9 Pro Fold, in addition to the Pixel Watch 3 and Pixel Buds Pro 2.

Mitul Shah, Managing Director of Google Devices and Services – India, said, “India’s incredible appetite for meaningful technology energises us… this is not just a new channel—it’s a complete experience tailored for India.” The store offers UPI support, zero-cost EMIs with over 15 banks, and a device exchange program through Cashify.

In collaboration with Blue Dart, Google is facilitating deliveries to 12,600 PIN codes, with a goal of 24–48 hour fulfillment. Furthermore, the store allows customers to start repairs, arrange pickups, and access comprehensive service online—this is a first for Google outside the U.S.

Looking forward, the technology giant is said to be considering physical retail spaces in India. Shah highlighted, “We are continuing to enhance our investments on the retail infrastructure,” aligning with Google’s broader plan to scale its Pixel business in India’s booming premium smartphone market.
