Google Launches AI Virtual Fitting Room and Smarter Price Tracking Tools

Google has introduced a new set of AI-powered shopping features in the United States, including a virtual fitting room app called Doppl. The tool allows users to upload a photo and see how clothes would look on their own body, making online shopping more accurate and personalised. Along with this, Google has upgraded its price-tracking tools and AI-driven fashion search to make the shopping experience more convenient.

AI Virtual Try-On with Doppl
Doppl is the highlight of this update, offering shoppers the chance to try on clothes digitally. By uploading a full-length photo, users can view realistic previews of how outfits would fit their body shape. They can also explore different styles, save their favourites, and share outfit previews with friends before making a purchase. This feature aims to bridge the gap between online and offline shopping by giving buyers more confidence and reducing the chances of returns.

Smarter Price Tracking Tools
Google has also improved its price-tracking system. Shoppers can now set alerts for specific items based on size, colour, and budget. Using its Shopping Graph, Google scans the web to notify users when the product matches their chosen price, saving them from repeatedly checking multiple websites for deals.

AI-Powered Fashion Search
To make shopping faster and easier, Google has enhanced its search with natural language queries. Customers can now type phrases such as “affordable floral maxi dress” or “oversized hoodie under USD 30” to find options that match their preferences more accurately.

Global Rollout in the Future
Currently available in the US, these features are expected to expand to more countries, including India. By combining AI personalisation, deal tracking, and conversational search, Google is set to transform the way people shop online.
