Google for Startups Hub to Open in Hyderabad to Boost AI Innovation

Hyderabad is set to mark another milestone in its IT growth with the launch of the Google for Startups Hub. The initiative is part of a memorandum of understanding signed between Google and the Government of Telangana.

The new hub will be housed within T Hub and is expected to be inaugurated by Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy on December 9 this year. Through this collaboration, Google and T Hub will work together to accelerate AI focused startups, nurture talent and build strong global links to markets and capital.

Officials describe this strategic partnership as a key step in advancing the startup ecosystem and digital innovation while contributing to the state’s larger economic vision of becoming a one trillion dollar economy by 2034 and a three trillion dollar economy by 2047.

As part of the programme, Google will bring in senior experts in areas such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, product development, user experience and go to market strategies. These experts will conduct detailed sessions for startups, student founders and developers. Special tracks will be offered for women entrepreneurs, Tier 2 innovators and university students, aiming to inspire over 10,000 students every year with an early innovation mindset.

The hub will also host a curated calendar of events, connecting local ventures with top venture capitalists from Silicon Valley, Japan and Southeast Asia, as well as corporate innovation leaders and successful AI founders.

Designed to serve as a strong platform for AI first startups, the hub will focus on solving real world challenges in areas like climate, healthcare and education. Startups will benefit from AI specific bootcamps and innovation days, supported by Google’s tools, cloud credits and advanced AI and machine learning capabilities.

The Government of Telangana expects that by next year more than 200 startups will be created through this initiative, with around 30 per cent concentrating on AI and deep tech. The ecosystem is also projected to attract over Rs 50 crore in funding, facilitated by Google and T Hub’s investor networks.
