Godrej Properties has acquired a 50-acre land parcel in Raipur, Chhattisgarh, as part of its plan to expand into fast-growing Tier II cities. The newly purchased land is located near Old Dhamtari Road and will be developed into a premium plotted residential township with an estimated saleable area of 9.5 lakh square feet.
The location offers strong infrastructure and connectivity. It is close to Central Raipur, the railway station and Swami Vivekananda Airport. The site is also situated near major roads including the Atal Path expressway and the upcoming Raipur to Hyderabad and Raipur to Visakhapatnam highways, making it a strategic choice for residential development.
This land acquisition aligns with Godrej’s goal of growing its presence in emerging real estate markets by launching high-quality plotted housing projects. The development will cater to the increasing demand for premium residential spaces in Tier II cities.
Gaurav Pandey, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Godrej Properties, said, “We are delighted to announce our entry into the dynamic city of Raipur. This acquisition marks another significant step in our expansion journey as we look to strengthen our presence in emerging real estate markets across India.” He added, “We look forward to developing a quality plotted township that creates long term value for its residents, aligned with the region’s evolving aspirations.”
The Raipur project is part of a series of land investments by Godrej Properties, which has recently made similar moves in Panipat and Pune. In the fourth quarter of financial year 2025, Godrej recorded a 48.8 percent rise in net sales reaching ₹2,121.73 crore, although net profit dropped by 18.9 percent to ₹381.99 crore. Following the Raipur announcement, the company’s shares rose by approximately 0.8 percent.
