Godrej Properties has announced the acquisition of a 43-acre land parcel in Sector 40, Panipat, Haryana. This marks the company’s first plotted township project in the city and its fourth in North India. The upcoming project is expected to offer around 1.02 million square feet of residential plotted development with a revenue potential of over ₹1,250 crore.
Gaurav Pandey, Managing Director and CEO of Godrej Properties, stated that the Panipat project supports the company’s broader strategy to expand its plotted housing portfolio in emerging markets like Haryana. “It will deliver long-term value to residents,” he added.
This deal continues Godrej Properties’ strong push into tier-II cities. In an earlier transaction during FY25, the company had acquired a 40-acre land parcel in Panipat for ₹600 crore, marking its 11th land deal in the financial year.
The company recently achieved a major milestone by becoming India’s leading real estate developer in terms of sales bookings, recording nearly ₹30,000 crore in FY24–25. The Panipat project is set to further strengthen its position in North India’s plotted development space.
Developers across the country are increasingly turning their focus to tier-II cities due to the availability of affordable land and growing demand for high-quality housing. Godrej Properties’ latest move reflects this broader shift in strategy.
