In a landmark achievement for Rajasthan’s fintech ecosystem, Getepay, a homegrown digital payment and merchant service platform, has received final approval from the Reserve Bank of India to function as an official Online Payment Aggregator. With this recognition, Getepay has etched its name in history as the first fintech firm from the state to be granted this coveted license.
Since its inception, Getepay has empowered more than 1.5 million merchants across India. From corner Kirana stores and e-commerce ventures to educational institutions and small manufacturers, the platform has been instrumental in enabling businesses of all sizes to accept and manage digital payments seamlessly.
Fueled by a mission to uplift small and medium-sized enterprises, especially in underrepresented markets, Getepay offers intuitive digital payment tools that simplify operations while ensuring safety and scalability.
“This is more than just a regulatory milestone; it’s a validation of our unwavering commitment to building a truly inclusive digital economy,” said Pravin Sharma, Founder and CEO of Getepay. “We started Getepay with the belief that every small merchant in India, whether in a remote village or a bustling city, deserves access to simple, secure, and scalable digital tools. With this RBI licence, we are now ready to deepen that impact, scale across Bharat, and empower MSMEs with not just payments but complete commerce enablement.”
Angel investor Mahavir Pratap Sharma echoed the sentiment, stating, “Getepay isn’t just another FinTech — it’s grounded in Bharat and solving real, structural problems. The RBI licence reinforces their credibility, and I believe Getepay is poised to become a key force in reshaping how small merchants participate in India’s digital economy.”
The company’s strategic vision includes expanding digital storefronts, inventory and billing tools for grassroots entrepreneurs, enabling over 10 million MSMEs to go digital, fostering job creation through agent networks, and supporting women-led and rural enterprises. Its tech platform is crafted to run smoothly in low-bandwidth zones, offering language-friendly, mobile-first usability for widespread access.
