Coforge, a global digital services and solutions provider, has announced the appointment of Garima Singh as Deputy Chief People Officer. In her new role, she will lead the development of future-ready people practices and talent strategies, offer HR leadership to senior business leaders and sales teams, and drive strategic HR initiatives to strengthen Coforge’s global growth ambitions and leadership capabilities.
Garima Singh brings over 20 years of diverse experience in HR strategy, talent management, leadership development, and organisational transformation. Before joining Coforge, she served as Chief People Officer at Orion Innovation, where she led global HR strategy with a focus on people engagement, talent acquisition, and organisational growth. Her leadership was instrumental in fostering a culture of innovation and performance excellence across international teams.
Prior to that, Garima spent 15 years at Persistent Systems, where she held several key leadership positions, including Head HR for North America, Head HR for Digital Business, and Senior Manager of Compensation and Benefits.
During her tenure, Garima led HR operations across major business units and geographies, established leadership hiring functions in North America, and implemented key initiatives in performance management, compensation design, and employee engagement. She also spearheaded several transformation projects, such as the gamification of performance systems, predictive HR analytics, and strategic workforce planning.
Garima began her professional journey as a Major in the Indian Army, where she served for over five years. Leading teams in high-pressure environments helped her develop a deep understanding of leadership, motivation, and organisational resilience. Her transition from the armed forces to corporate HR reflects her strong commitment to building high-performance cultures rooted in discipline, purpose, and empathy.
Coforge stated that her appointment marks a strategic step in advancing its global people agenda and reinforcing its position as an employer of choice in the digital services industry.
