Galaxy phones and tablets can now summarize webpages with Google’s Gemini

Samsung Galaxy users can now summarize webpages directly on their phones and tablets using Google’s Gemini AI. Previously, Galaxy AI offered webpage summarization through the Samsung Internet browser. The new Gemini integration provides an additional, more convenient option.

With the Galaxy latest feature, users can long-press the power button (or another button that launches Gemini) to access the ‘Summarize Page’ option above Gemini’s search bar. This allows webpages to be summarized without scrolling through the entire content. Summaries are saved in Gemini chats, making it easy to revisit and discuss them later. The feature is rolling out on iOS and iPadOS devices as well.

Earlier, using Gemini to summarize webpages required copying the URL from a browser, pasting it into the Gemini app, and asking the AI assistant to generate the summary. The new method eliminates the need for two separate apps, saving time and effort.

A similar functionality was previously spotted for Samsung Internet, allowing Gemini to summarize webpages while browsing. Although that feature has not been officially released, it may debut next year alongside the launch of the Galaxy S26 series.
