Foxconn has announced that it will deploy humanoid robots at its Houston plant in the United States. This plant produces artificial intelligence servers for Nvidia. Foxconn is the largest electronics maker in the world and a key server supplier for Nvidia.
The update follows a report that first appeared in June stating that Foxconn and Nvidia were discussing the use of humanoid robots at the Houston factory. The plan targets the first quarter of the year 2026.
The company shared this announcement during Nvidia’s developers conference in Washington DC. It said that the Houston factory will be among the first in the world to introduce humanoid robots that are powered by the Nvidia Isaac GR00T N model on its production lines. Foxconn and Nvidia aim to build what they describe as a world leading artificial intelligence smart factory.
Foxconn, which is formally known as Hon Hai Precision Industry Company, said it will continue to increase production of artificial intelligence servers in Texas, Wisconsin and California. This is to support the growing demand for advanced technology solutions.
Foxconn Chairman Young Liu said, “Our team is bringing the most advanced AI data centre solutions to the United States, which will help our leading customers stay ahead in the AI race.”
