Foxconn Builds FoxBrain, Its Own AI Model

Taiwanese contract manufacturer Foxconn has entered the artificial intelligence (AI) field with its own large language model called FoxBrain.

As reported by Media, the model was initially created for internal purposes. FoxBrain is capable of tasks like data analysis, mathematics, reasoning, and code generation.

Foxconn stated that Nvidia has assisted in the development of the model through its supercomputer in Taiwan and provided technical consulting, which facilitated effective model training. The training process took approximately four weeks and utilized 120 Nvidia H100 graphics processing units.

Foxconn plans to make the model open-source for industry partners to enhance manufacturing and supply chain management.
