Fintech firm Bachatt raises $12 million to expand AI-driven savings and wealth solutions

In a fresh funding development in the fintech space, Bachatt has secured $12 million, around ₹113 crore, in a Series A round led by venture capital firm Accel.

The round also included participation from existing investors Lightspeed and InfoEdge Ventures, strengthening the company’s financial backing.

“Bachatt, an AI-led savings and wealth platform for the merchant and self-employed segment, has raised $12 million in its series A funding led by Accel,” the company said in a statement.

The company plans to use the funds to scale its savings solutions and develop new AI-driven wealth and credit products. These offerings will cater to a growing user base that includes kirana shopkeepers, jewellery store owners, dealerships, and other merchants.

Launched in May 2025, Bachatt said it has already onboarded over 3 million users through its debt mutual fund-based savings platform.

“Over the next 12-24 months, Bachatt intends to reach a user base of 30 million,” the statement added.

The platform allows users to start saving with as little as ₹100 and invest in debt mutual funds offered by SBI, ICICI, and Axis AMC.

“Bachatt is addressing a fundamental gap in how consumers access quality products. At Accel, we are proud to partner with founders building population-scale utilities like Bachatt,” said Pratik Agarwal, Partner at Accel.

The funding highlights growing investor interest in AI-led financial solutions aimed at underserved merchant and self-employed segments.
