With effect from June 1st, 2025, Applus+ is happy to introduce Fernando Vallejo as the new IT SVP (Global CIO) of the Applus+ Group.
Fernando will join the Executive Committee and answer directly to the CEO. In addition, he will be in charge of the Digital Community, a cooperative innovation center that unites professionals from all areas of the business to create innovative solutions, and Applus+ Ventures, our corporate venturing program.

Fernando comes to Applus+ from Globalvia, a prominent infrastructure business in Spain, where he was the Managing Director of Openvia Mobility, the group’s innovation and technology company, and the Chief Innovation, Information, and Sustainability Officer. Additionally, he served on the boards of other IT firms that the organization supported. In addition, he has worked on R&D projects at Thales Alenia Space and the Alcatel Group, as well as strategy and operational positions at Capgemini Consulting.
Fernando has an Executive MBA from ESADE Business School and is a certified Telecommunications Engineer from Universidad Politécnica de Madrid. Additionally, he is a trained Executive and Team Coach and holds an Advanced Certificate for Executives (ACE) from the MIT Sloan School of Management.
Fernando is a great addition to Applus+, and we anticipate his leadership in building our digital future.
