A fraud case involving a well-known fashion brand name, Fashion TV has surfaced in Gorakhpur where investors were allegedly cheated of ₹1 crore on the pretext of offering a Fashion TV franchise. Police have arrested the main accused Vaibhav Mani Tripathi and sent him to judicial custody after a detailed complaint and investigation.
The case began after Juhi Singh a resident of Shivpur Colony under Ramgarh Tal police station submitted a written complaint to senior police officials. Based on her complaint an FIR was registered on December 18 2025. Police arrested the prime accused on Sunday and produced him before a special court which remanded him to jail.
According to the complaint Juhi Singh runs a firm named Park Hospitality where Vaibhav Mani Tripathi and Karunesh Pratap Shahi were partners. Using this business link Vaibhav Mani allegedly claimed he was associated with Fashion TV Private Limited. He offered the “F Bar by Fashion TV” franchise for Kanpur and Gorakhpur and promised high returns with brand support. Trusting these claims Juhi Singh and her husband Rakesh Singh paid around ₹1 crore in multiple instalments through online transfers and cash for franchise fees brand licensing infrastructure and bar setup.
When no work started and documents were delayed the complainant contacted Fashion TV Private Limited directly. The company denied any agreement or transaction with her or her firm. Investigation later showed that the agreement papers had forged signatures which were confirmed by a handwriting expert. Juhi Singh also alleged that she received threats when she asked for a refund. Police have named Karunesh Pratap Shahi Akhilesh Pathak Abhishek Pathak Gautam Kanaudia Ramavatar Bansal Gaurav Kanaudia and Narendra Tripathi as accused. Police are now tracking bank accounts money movement and individual roles. Further arrests may follow as the probe continues.
