Eveready Industries India Ltd. has revealed that Anirban Banerjee will take on the role of Chief Executive Officer starting May 10, 2025, following a recommendation from the Nomination and Remuneration Committee (NRC).
Banerjee, who is the Senior Vice President and Strategic Business Unit Head for Batteries, Flashlights, and Lighting at Eveready, has over 20 years of experience in leadership roles within the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG), consumer durables, and retail industries. His skills in business strategy, marketing, and innovation make him an ideal candidate for the top role. During his time at Eveready, he has led significant transformation projects that have enhanced growth and encouraged product innovation.
Prior to his tenure at Eveready, he held key leadership roles at the Godrej Group, including Head of Marketing & Ecommerce at Godrej Indonesia and Global Head of Innovation at Godrej Consumer Products Ltd., where he was instrumental in product development and expanding global operations.Â
Additionally, Banerjee has been vital in revitalizing brands at Nature’s Basket Retail, Reliance Infocomm, and AB Electrolux. He holds a degree from St. Stephen’s College, Delhi, and an MBA from the Symbiosis Centre for Management & HRD, Pune.Â
His appointment comes as Eveready aims to enhance its market presence and pursue strategic growth, with his extensive background in product innovation and business development expected to support the company’s efforts in a rapidly changing consumer environment. Eveready, a well-known name in the battery and lighting sector, is recognized for its dedication to quality and innovation, and Banerjee’s leadership is expected to further this legacy while introducing new ideas for the company’s future.
