Indian electric vehicle manufacturer Euler Motors has unveiled the Turbo EV 1000, claimed to be the world’s first 1-tonne electric mini truck combining high performance with affordable pricing. The ex-showroom price starts at ₹5.99 lakh, targeting India’s commercial vehicle market, where electric penetration remains around two per cent.
The Turbo EV 1000 offers a real-world range of 140 to 170 kilometers per charge, addressing a key concern for fleet operators. It delivers 140 Nm of torque and features 230mm disc brakes on an R13 wheel platform, representing the highest performance metrics in the 1-tonne commercial vehicle segment, according to Euler Motors.
Equipped with CCS2 fast-charging technology, the truck can gain 50 kilometers of range within 15 minutes at compatible public charging stations, reducing downtime for operators requiring continuous vehicle availability. Euler Motors claims that the truck provides annual operational savings of ₹1.15 lakh compared to diesel equivalents, thanks to lower fuel costs, reduced maintenance, and favorable total cost of ownership.
The Turbo EV 1000 is offered in three variants: CITY priced at ₹5.99 lakh, FAST CHARGE at ₹8.19 lakh, and MAXX at ₹7.19 lakh. Financing options include EMI plans starting at ₹10,000 per month with a down payment of ₹49,999.
Saurav Kumar, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Euler Motors, said the launch addresses practical needs in India’s logistics industry while supporting the transition to sustainable mobility. He highlighted that evolving state and national transport policies are reshaping commercial fleet economics.
The Turbo EV 1000 marks Euler Motors’ third product launch and its second four-wheeler commercial vehicle, following the Storm EV model. The company has incorporated nine segment-first innovations across the truck’s design and functionality.
India’s commercial electric vehicle market continues to face challenges including high upfront costs, limited charging infrastructure, and range anxiety. The Turbo EV 1000’s competitive pricing aims to make electric mobility accessible to small fleet owners and individual driver-entrepreneurs operating on tight margins.
Government incentives and regulatory support for cleaner transportation further enhance the appeal of electric commercial motors vehicles, making this launch a significant step for sustainable mobility in India.
