Through the Digital Europe Program for 2025–2027, the European Commission will spend 1.3 billion euros ($1.4 billion) in digital skills, cybersecurity, and artificial intelligence, the commission announced in a statement on Friday.
“Securing European tech sovereignty starts with investing in advanced technologies and in making it possible for people to improve their digital competences,” European Commission digital chief Henna Virkkunen said.
The designated monies might also be used to support AI initiatives related to cybersecurity and educational initiatives that educate data security and other skills.
