Mati Staniszewski, CEO of ElevenLabs, made his first visit to India this week as part of the United Kingdom’s largest trade mission, led by Keir Starmer. The delegation included 125 founders, CEOs, and cultural leaders. During his visit, Staniszewski highlighted India’s growing importance as a voice-first market, noting that one-third of Indian internet users engage in monthly voice searches, the highest rate globally.
“India has become our number one market by signups and number two by enterprise revenue over the past 12 months,” Staniszewski said. He shared how ElevenLabs has partnered with Indian companies such as Meesho and Cars24 to improve customer experiences through AI-powered voice solutions. The collaboration with Meesho has automated around 60,000 support calls daily in Hindi and English, while Cars24 has achieved a 50 percent faster issue resolution rate, handling 20,000 multilingual conversations each month.
For the Indian market, ElevenLabs has introduced advanced features including seamless switching between Hindi and English, support for Hindi and Tamil in the v2 model generation, and the addition of 12 Indic languages in the v3 version. The company also offers local data residency and a vast collection of Hindi voices to better serve regional users.
Staniszewski revealed that ElevenLabs has reinvested over one million dollars into Indian voice talent through its Voice Library initiative, strengthening local partnerships and fostering growth in India’s AI ecosystem.
Encouraging local innovators and startups to collaborate, Staniszewski invited regional builders to connect ahead of his next visit scheduled for the first quarter of next year. His remarks underline ElevenLabs’ commitment to deepening its engagement in India’s rapidly evolving conversational AI market.
