Edgehax, formerly known as Bharat Pi, has secured ₹1.39 crore in seed funding led by Inflection Point Ventures. The funding will be used to accelerate product development, strengthen manufacturing, and expand into international markets including Singapore, the United States, and Europe.
Founded in 2025 by Prabhu Stavarmath and Savitri Patil, Edgehax develops modular Edge hardware that combines compute, network, and storage on a single board. This reduces dependence on overseas supply chains. The company’s platforms are already being used in industrial gateways, humanoid robots, autonomous vehicles, drones, NavIC-based defence tracking systems, and 4G and 5G connectivity solutions.
“Edgehax’s success reinforces the mission of NGIS to empower startups with resources to scale globally while strengthening India’s ‘Make in India’ journey,” said Shri Arvind Kumar, Director General of STPI. Edgehax is a beneficiary of the Next Generation Incubation Scheme, which supports Tier 2 and Tier 3 startups through mentoring, funding, and market access.
Commenting on the vision, Prabhu Stavarmath said, “Our goal is to become a global pioneer in Edge AI Gateways and Single Board Computers, enabling rapid product development for startups and enterprises worldwide.” By 2029, the company aims to support 100 million developers globally, helping to strengthen India’s role in the Edge AI hardware industry.
