Intelligent power management company Eaton has announced the launch of its new Global Supply Chain Center of Excellence (GSC CoE) and integrated manufacturing facility in Pune. The expansion reinforces India’s growing importance as a strategic hub in Eaton’s global operations.
Located in Baner, the state-of-the-art 1.5 lakh square feet facility was inaugurated by Rogerio Branco, Executive Vice President, Chief Supply Chain and Operations Officer; Sreekumar Panicker, Vice President and Head, Global Supply Chain Center of Excellence, India; and Pradeep Kumar SK, Country Head and Managing Director, India, along with other key members of Eaton’s leadership team.
The new facility will function as a collaborative hub to drive innovation, efficiency, and knowledge sharing across Eaton’s global network. By expanding its presence in India, Eaton aims to leverage the country’s strong talent base in technology, engineering, supply chain, and operational services to further strengthen its global supply chain and manufacturing capabilities.
Commenting on the launch, Sreekumar Panicker said, “The inauguration of our new supply chain and integrated manufacturing facility marks another milestone in Eaton’s continued growth in India. This center plays a critical role in driving operational excellence and digital transformation for Eaton’s global supply chain. We continue to bring together world-class talent to strengthen collaboration, build agility, and create sustainable value across our global operations.”
The Global Supply Chain Center of Excellence (GSC CoE) will support Eaton’s plants and supply chain teams across the world. Its focus includes driving cost optimisation, standardising sourcing processes, consolidating suppliers, and advancing technology-enabled supply chain, materials, and logistics operations. The integrated approach aims to enhance efficiency, reduce complexity, and deliver manufacturing excellence throughout the value chain.
Eaton began its operations in India in 1999 and currently employs over 6,300 professionals across seven manufacturing facilities and five Global Capability Centers. The Eaton India Innovation Center (EIIC) in Pune is among Eaton’s largest engineering hubs globally, contributing to technology development and innovation for international markets. The company continues to invest in India to strengthen its capabilities in engineering, supply chain, manufacturing, and digital services to support customers worldwide.
