A Dutch delegation from the Netherlands, headed by Vice Minister of Health, Curative Care, Barbara Goezinne, has shown interest in implementing certain advanced-stage AI health technologies from India and Karnataka in the Netherlands.
Ms. Goezinne, who met Minister of Health and Family Welfare Dinesh Gundu Rao at the Centre for Cellular and Molecular Platforms (C-CAMP) on Thursday said, “We are committed to work together in the field of medical technology, particularly in the development of innovative, labour-saving medical solutions to support all healthcare professionals.”
C-CAMP reported that the Dutch delegation is particularly keen on labor-saving healthcare technologies, AI innovations in pharmaceuticals for drug development and discovery, as well as remote monitoring and telehealth solutions for medical triaging.
The discussions also focused on integrating the Netherlands’ public health system with the State government through a collaborative initiative, such as an Innovation Bridge facilitated by C-CAMP, as part of a bilateral partnership with their Dutch counterparts.
Ms. Goezinne participated in an innovation tour of selected digital health solutions from C-CAMP, where she engaged directly with the innovators. These innovations include a comprehensive maternal and fetal health monitoring system, AI for early lung cancer detection, AI-driven tuberculosis care, telemetric and tele ECG systems for vital signs monitoring with automatic interpretation, and point-of-care diagnostic tools for both infectious and non-communicable diseases, among others.
