In this position, Tanu will lead business development for institutional clients, family offices and digital channels, leveraging her experience across wealth management, banking strategy, and business growth.
Before joining DSP Mutual Fund, Bhargava spent over 16 years at Axis Bank, where she held several senior leadership roles. Most recently, she served as Head – Wealth Management and NRI Banking. Prior to that, she was EVP – Head of Integration Management for the Citibank Consumer Business Acquisition, where she led the integration of the acquired retail portfolio.
Her earlier roles at Axis Bank include Head – Strategic Clients Group (Wholesale Banking), SVP & Head – New Economy Group, Sr. Vice President & Group Head – Strategic Corporate Clients, Head – Strategy & Executive Assistant to CEO, and Head – Travel Cards & Retail Forex Remittances. These roles highlight her consistent growth across banking strategy, corporate banking, payments, and transformation initiatives.
In addition, Tanu has worked as a Consultant & Expert Advisor and Expert Advisor in freelance capacities, advising on M&A execution, wealth, NRI banking, payments, commercial banking, cards, and e-payments. Earlier in her career, she also served as Business Head – Debit & Prepaid Cards at Axis Bank, managing strategy, product, sales, and operations.
Bhargava holds a Bachelor of Science in Physics from St. Stephen’s College and has also studied at Management Development Institute.
With experience across DSP Mutual Fund, Axis Bank, and advisory roles, she brings a strong and well-rounded leadership profile. Her appointment is expected to strengthen DSP Mutual Fund’s engagement with institutional investors, family offices, and digital channels in an evolving investment landscape.
