Gati Shakti Vishwavidyalaya and the Defence Research and Development Organization have signed a Memorandum of Understanding on November 17, 2025, to work together on research in key technology areas. The collaboration will focus on logistics management, chip design and advanced encryption technologies.
The partnership aims to develop smart solutions that can strengthen national security and improve the efficiency of indigenous defence systems. It will also support research that enhances operational logistics across military applications. Dr Samir V. Kamat said the agreement is an important step in building capacity in military science and logistics.
Gati Shakti Vishwavidyalaya was established in 2022 as India’s first university dedicated to the transportation and logistics sector. The institution already works with all branches of the Indian Armed Forces. This new agreement is expected to deepen its role in defence related research and innovation.
