Mad Engine Global has announced the appointment of Dominic Farrell as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective April 1, 2025. Farrell succeeds Danish Gajiani, who will move into the role of Executive Chairman after leading the company for more than a decade. Gajiani will remain actively involved in the transition process, ensuring smooth leadership continuity for all stakeholders.
Farrell brings over 20 years of experience in the licensing industry, with a strong background in licensed apparel, including an impressive tenure at Adidas. Before joining Mad Engine, he served as President and Chief Operating Officer at ‘47, where he successfully led the company’s growth in domestic and international markets, as well as expanding its e-commerce presence.
“We cannot emphasize enough how excited we are to welcome Dom as the new CEO of Mad Engine,” said Gajiani. “Dom’s deep experience in licensed apparel and accessories, along with his ability to drive growth and innovation, makes him an ideal fit for the role. His leadership will help us unlock new opportunities while staying true to the company’s core values.”
Farrell expressed his enthusiasm about the appointment, saying, “It is an honor to join Mad Engine. I have long admired the company’s success, including recent accolades like the Walmart Customer Excellence Award and Target’s Apparel and Accessories Vendor of the Year Award. I look forward to collaborating with Danish and the talented teams at Mad Engine to continue creating value and driving the company’s success.”
The selection of Farrell followed a comprehensive search process, with Gajiani confident that Farrell’s experience aligns perfectly with Mad Engine’s future goals. Gajiani will step back from day-to-day operations as Executive Chairman and focus on shaping the company’s broader strategy, leveraging his vast industry relationships to explore new growth opportunities.
When Gajiani joined Mad Engine in 2011, the company was a small operation with just 30 employees and revenues of $30 million. Under his leadership, Mad Engine has grown into a global leader with hundreds of licenses, thousands of employees, and operations in the United States, Canada, Mexico, and China. In 2024, the company sold around 160 million units of apparel and accessories worldwide.
