Dixon Technologies, a leading Indian electronics manufacturing services company, is set to file applications for additional component manufacturing projects in the upcoming week. This strategic move aims to leverage the recently launched ₹22,919 crore Electronics Component Manufacturing Scheme, a government initiative designed to incentivize domestic production of electronic components.
The company has already embarked on several key projects in various component areas, including display modules, camera modules, mechanical enclosures, and batteries. These existing ventures position Dixon well to capitalize on the government’s push for ‘Make in India’ in the electronics sector.
The new applications are expected to further expand Dixon’s manufacturing footprint and capabilities, contributing to India’s self-reliance in electronic component production. The government scheme provides crucial financial incentives and support to companies investing in this critical sector, aiming to reduce India’s dependence on imports and boost local manufacturing.
“Dixon Technologies is committed to playing a significant role in strengthening India’s electronics manufacturing ecosystem,” stated a company representative. “By expanding our component manufacturing capabilities and aligning with government initiatives, we aim to contribute to the nation’s goal of becoming a global hub for electronics production.”
This development underscores the growing momentum in India’s electronics manufacturing sector, driven by supportive government policies and increasing demand for domestically produced components.
