DigiKey launches Indian subsidiary and global capability centre in Bengaluru

DigiKey, a leading global distributor of electronic components and automation products, has officially launched its Indian subsidiary, Digi-Key Electronics & Automation Trading Private Limited. The company will operate a Global Capability Centre (GCC) in Bengaluru, strengthening its long-term commitment to the Indian market.

The Bengaluru centre will leverage the expertise of nearly 300 DigiKey India employees to support the company’s worldwide operations. The establishment of DigiKey India marks a key milestone in the company’s global expansion journey, positioning India as a major hub for innovation and collaboration.

The new GCC is expected to drive future growth through increased hiring and capability development, further enhancing DigiKey’s operational excellence and global reach.

“This milestone represents a major step forward in DigiKey’s global strategy,” said Dave Doherty, chief executive officer of DigiKey. “India’s tech ecosystem and skilled workforce are key to our continued success in the region. We are thrilled to deepen our roots and invest in the future of DigiKey India.”
