Dhipaya Insurance moves to modernize its core system through major partnership with Huawei and key technology firms

Dhipaya Insurance has taken a significant step toward building a future ready technology foundation through a new strategic partnership with Huawei, DataOne Asia and Sinosoft. The collaboration aims to upgrade the insurer’s core IT platform and support its long term digital transformation goals.

The next generation core platform will use a joint solution from Huawei Digital Finance BU and Sinosoft. It is supported by Huawei Cloud Stack, GaussDB databases and high performance storage and network systems. This upgrade also marks an important milestone for the global expansion of Huawei’s Financial Partner RongHai Program.

Jason Cao, chief executive officer of Huawei Digital Finance, thanked Dhipaya Insurance for its confidence in the company. He said Huawei has worked with leading partners to build strong core modernization solutions that help insurers advance their digital capabilities. He added that the RongHai Program focuses on collaboration between China’s top independent software vendors, local system integrators and industry customers, and highlighted the Dhipaya Insurance project as a strong example in the Asia Pacific region.

William Zhang, president of enterprise business at Huawei Technologies in Thailand, said the partnership allows Huawei to bring its technology expertise to support the insurance sector during a key phase of digital change. He added, “This partnership reflects our shared vision of pioneering the future of insurance in Thailand. We are not only providing technology but also building a long term strategic relationship to create solutions that directly enhance Dhipaya Insurance’s ability to serve customers, innovate products, and set new standards for the Thai insurance industry.”

Zuo Chun, president of Sinosoft, said the company is working closely with Huawei and DataOne to drive the large core system project and remains committed to delivering efficient, secure and future ready solutions.

Dr. Somporn Suebthawilkul, chief executive officer of Dhipaya Group Holdings and managing director of Dhipaya Insurance, said the company continues to work toward shaping the future of Thailand’s insurance industry. With more than 74 years of service, the insurer plans to use advanced technologies to create more personalized offerings. He said, “The core system is the backbone of IT for any organization especially in the insurance industry, where security, reliability, and trust are paramount for both individual and enterprise clients.”

Mrs. Sochipun Vajropala, chief executive officer of DataOne Asia, said the partnership brings together leading technology providers to build the foundation for innovative insurance services. She added that DataOne, with over 35 years of experience, will continue to support the growth of Thailand’s IT ecosystem. She said, “DataOne believes that society benefits when technology becomes more accessible.”
