German company Deutsche Borse, one of the world’s leading exchange organisations and market infrastructure providers, is all set to establish its Global Capability Center (GCC) in Hyderabad. The announcement came during a meeting held on Tuesday, November 4, between company officials and the Telangana chief minister.
A delegation led by German Consul General Michael Hasper met the chief minister and shared details about the company’s new GCC, which is part of Deutsche Borse’s global expansion plan. According to an official statement from the chief minister’s office, the new facility will create around 1,000 jobs in the IT sector over the next two years.
The statement also mentioned that the Telangana government has invited the company to explore further investments in IT, pharmaceuticals, and the automobile sector. During the meeting, the chief minister requested the German Consul General to facilitate the appointment of German language teachers and to provide vocational training in Hyderabad.
“Thanking the German company for choosing Hyderabad to set up the GCC, CM Revanth Reddy said that Hyderabad is the best destination for investments and the People’s Government is ready to extend full support to the global investors,” the release stated.
The chief minister also urged the German delegation to collaborate in promoting Hyderabad as a leading innovation hub. He further requested the Consul General to support vocational education and skills training through the state’s TOMCOM department.
Amazon Web Services delegation meets Telangana CM
On the same day, an official delegation from Amazon Web Services (AWS) met the chief minister on a courtesy visit. The team briefed him on the company’s ongoing data centre projects, expansion initiatives, and other operational matters in Telangana.
The chief minister assured the delegation that the state government would extend all necessary support for AWS’s continued investment and development in the region. The meeting was attended by Kerry Person, Global Head of AWS Data Center, Vikram Sridharan, Director of Infrastructure Public Policy, and Anurag Kilnani, along with other officials.
