In a landmark move to strengthen India’s technical talent pipeline, Delta Electronics India, in collaboration with the Tamil Nadu Skill Development Corporation (TNSDC), formally signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to establish a Technical Centre of Excellence (CoE) in Krishnagiri, Tamil Nadu. The MoU exchange took place at the launch event of the Naan Mudhalvan Finishing School (NMFS) initiative, held at the Jawaharlal Nehru Indoor Stadium in Chennai, in the esteemed presence of the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, Thiru M.K. Stalin, along with senior government officials and industry leaders.
This industry-academia collaboration is a key milestone in Delta’s long-term ESG and skill development vision, aimed at building an ecosystem of employable, skilled youth in Tier 2 and Tier 3 regions of India. The new CoE, located in Krishnagiri district, will offer advanced training in Electronics System Design & Manufacturing (ESDM), PLC programming, industrial automation, and robotics. The facility is equipped with Delta’s proprietary automation technology, smart classrooms, and a real-time simulation zone to ensure immersive learning.
Benjamin Lin, President of Delta Electronics India, said, “As India moves rapidly toward becoming a global manufacturing hub, skilled talent will be the key differentiator. This CoE is a direct reflection of Delta’s belief in inclusive progress—bringing education, industry, and innovation together. We’re grateful to TNSDC for their vision and look forward to supporting more such transformative projects in the future.”
The CoE will offer 3- to 6-month training programs, co-designed by Delta’s industrial experts and aligned with global certification standards. A strong focus is placed on employability and diversity, with an assurance of placement support and dedicated inclusion of women candidates and economically disadvantaged youth. The curriculum blends classroom learning with hands-on practical training on Delta’s industry-grade systems.
Niranjan Nayak, Managing Director, Delta Electronics India, stated “Delta is proud to partner with the Government of Tamil Nadu in building a future-ready skilled workforce. Through this Centre of Excellence, we are not only strengthening our commitment to nation-building but also creating pathways for underserved youth to access opportunities in high-growth sectors. Our goal is to equip learners with job-relevant skills, certified training, and exposure to real-world factory environments.”
Key Highlights of the Centre of Excellence:
