Deloitte Expands AI Simulation CoE in India as Part of $3B GenAI Investment

Bengaluru: On Tuesday, Deloitte revealed plans to significantly expand its Global Artificial Intelligence (AI) Simulation Centre of Excellence (CoE) in India, as part of a broader $3 billion investment in Generative AI (GenAI) through FY30.

Initially launched in Bengaluru to support Deloitte’s worldwide network, the Simulation CoE is designed to enhance clients’ decision-making, reduce potential risks, and optimize their return on investment (ROI).

The centre will enable next-generation technologies, including 5G, 6G, the Internet of Things, the Industrial Metaverse, Space Technology, Physical Robotics, and Nanotechnology.

By leveraging real-time insights, the CoE aims to create sophisticated visualizations, simulations, scenario modeling, digital twins, and multi-agent systems.

“India’s unique blend of a skilled talent pool, cost efficiency, advanced software engineering capabilities and an increasingly favourable business environment, firmly positions it as a global hub for innovation,” said Rohit Berry, President, Strategy, Risk and Transactions, Deloitte South Asia.

The government’s dedication to enhancing India’s position in the global AI arena is evident in its vision of developing AI in India and ensuring that AI serves the needs of the country.

“The launch of the Simulation CoE in India will act as a kinetic enabler for the growth of our digital economy, investments and jobs. As India continues to catalyse large-scale socio-economic transformation, the CoE will play a pivotal role in harnessing AI to solve complex challenges at scale—both for India and the world,” he mentioned.

The CoE augments Deloitte’s Global GenAI Market Incubator with its deep experience in advanced simulation, introducing a novel and dynamic approach to advising clients.

“The Global AI Simulation Center of Excellence will help revolutionise the way clients approach strategy development,” said Deloitte Global Strategy, Risk & Transactions leader Nicolai Andersen.

The CoE will serve as a dynamic hub, in association with regional centres around the globe to connect with leaders on GenAI’s expansive potential.
