Strengthening efforts to combat rising cyber threats, Deloitte has launched ConnectSafe, a new cybersecurity hub in Bengaluru. The 4,500-square-foot facility is the first of its kind in India and is designed to simulate real-world cyberattacks on connected technologies.
The centre focuses on testing the security of systems used in vehicles, medical technology, and everyday connected devices. By recreating cyberattack scenarios, the hub aims to help organisations identify vulnerabilities and strengthen their security systems before real threats occur.
Advanced testing and security capabilities
ConnectSafe includes advanced features designed to improve protection for connected systems. These capabilities include end-to-end cybersecurity testing and quantum-safe security measures.
The hub also houses specialised centres that allow organisations to safely evaluate their cyber defence systems. These include OT-SOC (Operational Technology Security Operations Centre) and V-SOC (Vehicle Security Operations Centre) facilities. Companies can test their security strategies in these environments without affecting real-world operations or infrastructure.
Leaders highlight growing cybersecurity risks
Industry leaders say cyber threats now extend far beyond traditional IT systems. Attacks today can impact smart factories, power grids, vehicles, and healthcare devices.
Romal Shetty from Deloitte said that cyberattacks increasingly affect economic operations and critical infrastructure. According to him, the new facility will support enterprises in strengthening digital security and building trust.
Meanwhile, cybersecurity leader Gaurav Shukla highlighted that ConnectSafe is designed to protect both small components and large infrastructure systems.
The launch reflects the growing importance of cybersecurity as digital technologies become deeply integrated into industrial systems, transportation, healthcare, and other critical sectors.
