Delhivery, a prominent player in the logistics sector, has recently announced the appointment of Milind Sharma as the new Head of Rapid Commerce and D2C Brands. Milind, an accomplished entrepreneur with over 14 years of experience in the e-commerce and quick-commerce domains, brings a wealth of expertise and an entrepreneurial spirit that will drive the company to new heights.
Milind was part of Delhivery’s founding team back in 2012 and played an instrumental role in scaling the company to impressive levels, with the company handling over 100,000 daily orders at its peak. His leadership in business development during the early years proved crucial to Delhivery’s success. Milind’s entrepreneurial journey didn’t stop there—he co-founded PepperTap, a hyperlocal delivery service that surged to $200M+ in annual revenue. He also built Nuvo Logistics, which achieved $10M+ in revenue across more than 75 cities before being acquired by Shadowfax, where Milind continued his role in shaping growth and strategy. Most recently, he launched Flyo, a quick commerce platform, and Mabel, a jewelry commerce venture, adding further depth to his already impressive portfolio.
Now, returning to Delhivery, Milind is set to focus on scaling the company’s Rapid Commerce service, a fast-growing sector that demands precision, speed, and efficiency. His expertise will be pivotal in expanding Delhivery’s offerings in the Direct-to-Consumer (D2C) brand segment, as well as enhancing the company’s same-day and next-day delivery services—an area poised for major growth.
Milind, reflecting on his return, shared, “Rejoining Delhivery feels like a homecoming for me. This is where I started my startup journey, and I’m eager to contribute to the next phase of growth by building the Rapid Commerce service and serving the D2C Brand segment and building on Delhivery’s strong foundation alongside the team.”
Sahil Barua, Delhivery’s CEO, welcomed Milind back with enthusiasm, stating, “We’re excited to welcome Milind back to Delhivery. Having been part of our early journey, he understands our DNA and what it takes to build and scale in this space. His entrepreneurial mindset and deep experience in consumer businesses will be invaluable as we expand our Rapid Commerce and D2C Brands segment.”
Milind Sharma’s return to Delhivery marks a new chapter of growth and innovation, promising exciting advancements for both the company and the logistics industry as a whole.
