With the introduction of a significant update to its V3 big language model, Chinese artificial intelligence firm DeepSeek stepped up battle with American tech giants Anthropic and OpenAI.
Hugging Face, an AI development platform, released the new DeepSeek-V3-0324 model, the company’s most recent attempt to make a name for itself in the quickly changing AI industry.
In comparison to its predecessor, the most recent model exhibits notable gains in reasoning and coding skills, as seen by benchmark tests that reveal improved performance across a variety of technical criteria posted on Hugging Face.
With the release of a number of models that rival their Western counterparts while having cheaper operating expenses, DeepSeek has quickly become a prominent participant in the global AI scene in recent months.
The business released its R1 model in January after launching its V3 model in December.
