Deepak Rastogi takes over as CFO at Ola Electric Mobility

In a key leadership update, Ola Electric Mobility has announced the appointment of Deepak Rastogi as its new Chief Financial Officer, effective January 20, following the resignation of its incumbent CFO Harish Abichandani due to personal reasons.

The decision was approved by the company’s Board of Directors at a meeting held on January 19. Along with taking charge as CFO, Rastogi has also been designated as a Key Managerial Personnel and will join Ola Electric’s senior management team. The move signals an important transition for the electric vehicle maker as it navigates a changing organisational phase.

Deepak Rastogi brings more than 30 years of experience across finance, strategy, and governance roles, primarily in capital-intensive industries such as automotive, manufacturing, chemicals, and real estate. He is a Chartered Accountant and holds an MBA, with a career spanning leadership roles across several prominent organisations.

His previous stints include senior positions at Puravankara Limited, Deepak Fertilisers And Petrochemicals Corp. Ltd., TATA AutoComp Systems Ltd, The Timken Company, Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise, DuPont, Castrol, and Raymond. Over the years, Rastogi has built a strong reputation for handling complex financial structures and large-scale business operations.

During his career, Deepak has advised on and led equity transactions valued at nearly $1 billion, covering initial public offerings and cross-border mergers and acquisitions. He has also served on the boards of multiple listed companies, bringing deep experience in capital markets, corporate governance, and strategic financial planning.

Ola Electric Mobility said the appointment comes after the resignation of former CFO Harish Abichandani, marking a smooth leadership handover at the finance helm.

With Deepak’s extensive background in large enterprises and transaction-led growth, Ola Electric is expected to strengthen its financial governance and long-term strategic execution. The company continues to evolve its leadership structure as it scales operations in India’s competitive electric mobility market.
