Databricks has unveiled Data Intelligence for Cybersecurity, a new platform designed to help organisations build and deploy AI applications and agents at scale with its Agent Bricks framework, while maintaining security.
The platform integrates seamlessly with existing security systems, unifying enterprise data to help organisations prepare for AI-driven threats, understand the context behind attacks, and respond faster. Built on the company’s Lakehouse architecture, it consolidates data from across the enterprise, giving security teams a clear view of threats without the complications of multiple vendor lock-ins or complex configurations.
The cybersecurity platform also includes intuitive dashboards, AI-powered natural language search, and real-time analytics, enabling enterprises to identify and mitigate emerging risks before they escalate.
“With Data Intelligence for Cybersecurity, Databricks is making data and AI every organization’s strongest defense strategy,” said Omar Khawaja, VP of Security and Field CISO at Databricks. “Security teams can now gain a more accurate, governed and flexible approach to building AI agents that proactively combat today’s modern and AI-based threats.”
The announcement builds on Databricks’ earlier introduction of Agent Bricks in June this year, which enables organisations to automate the creation of AI agents tailored to specific tasks.
According to the company, cybersecurity clients such as Arctic Wolf, Barracuda Networks, Palo Alto Networks and SAP Enterprise Cloud Services are already using the platform.
Databricks has also expanded its ecosystem through integrations with several partners, including Deloitte, Accenture Federal, Varonis, ActiveFence, Alpha Level, Obsidian Security, PointGuardAI and BigID.
This development follows the company’s recent announcement of a multi-year partnership worth 100 million dollars with OpenAI. Under the agreement, OpenAI’s models will be made natively available within Databricks’ Data Intelligence Platform and Agent Bricks, strengthening its AI-first approach to enterprise security.
