CynLr introduces Object Intelligence platform to enable real-time robot learning

Robots may soon be able to understand and handle new objects within seconds. Bengaluru based robotics startup CynLr has launched its Object Intelligence platform to help robots learn unknown objects on the fly. The product comes after 5 years of research and development and is positioned as the first commercial ready Object Intelligence platform developed in India.

The new platform allows robots to learn, adapt and manipulate unseen objects within 10 to 15 seconds without retraining. It is designed for manufacturing and automation environments where existing physical AI systems face limitations. CynLr said the platform can operate on industrial robotic arms, multi arm systems and humanoid robots. At the core of the system is a vision module called CLX, which enables robots to perceive new objects, build geometry and generate grasp models in real time. This allows handling of transparent, reflective and irregular objects such as glass bottles with plastic covers, metallic parts and electronic components.

The company said the Object Intelligence platform can support assembly line operations and maintenance tasks in semiconductor fabrication facilities. Switching between trained tasks happens instantly during deployment. Configuring tasks within the same setup takes about 1 hour, while training new tasks can take between 1 week and 3 months. “Object Intelligence is where it begins,” said Co founder and CTO Gokul NA. “The next 50 years will be about cognition.” Co founder and CEO Nikhil Ramaswamy added, “The bottleneck for physical intelligence today is sensing. Robots need their own eyes, touch and feel to learn and map the world.”

CynLr stated that unlike pre programmed systems, its robots learn continuously through interaction, with every grasp improving performance in real time. The company serves clients including Audi and Lam Research. It currently offers CyRo and CyNoid products and plans to launch an open hardware platform called Mantroid in 2028. Mantroid will enable custom robot designs for industrial needs. CynLr aims to produce 1 robot per day by 2028, expand its global supply chain and raise a new funding round to scale production.
