Cyient Limited has announced the appointment of K.A. Prabhakaran as the Senior Vice President and Chief Technology Officer (CTO) for its DET business. Prabhakaran brings with him over 30 years of experience in the engineering and research & development sectors.
Before joining Cyient, Prabhakaran held the position of Vice President and CTO at Honeywell’s Process Solutions division. There, he was instrumental in driving technological advancements and developing customer-focused solutions globally. Based in Houston, TX, previously, he will now operate from Bengaluru, India, as he takes on his new role at Cyient.
A seasoned engineering professional, Prabhakaran has led digital transformations and pioneered product and process innovations across diverse sectors like Aerospace, Oil & Gas, Life Sciences, and Renewable Energy. He has developed new solutions for large OEMs, particularly in avionics, which aligns with Cyient’s focus. His global leadership in these areas has opened avenues for sustainable growth and technology advancements.
As the new Senior Vice President and CTO, Prabhakaran will steer Cyient’s technology vision, creating innovative solutions that will drive market competitiveness. His role will be key in enhancing Cyient’s technological capabilities, expanding the company’s footprint, and fostering a culture of innovation across the organization. He is also expected to play a significant role in advancing Cyient’s innovation platform, CyientifIQ, to new heights.
