The Cyberabad cybercrime police have solved 11 cybercrime cases between July 29 and August 4, resulting in the arrest of 15 people from different parts of the country. The investigation highlighted the nationwide network of cybercriminals operating across multiple States.

Of the 15 arrested, 12 were involved in trading fraud, two in gaming fraud, and one in business fraud. Police seized 14 mobile phones, eight debit cards, one Aadhaar card, one PAN card, 13 SIM cards, and four proprietorship stamps from the accused.

In an advisory to the public, police urged people to stay alert against investment and trading scams that promise high returns. They advised verifying all financial transactions before sending money and to be cautious of urgent requests for money or personal details, such as Aadhaar numbers, bank account details, or OTPs.

Authorities also reminded citizens to always confirm the source of any communication and verify the information with relevant authorities or institutions. Any suspicious phone numbers, especially those demanding money or personal information, should be blocked and reported immediately.

People have also been warned to avoid clicking on links received through messaging apps like WhatsApp, Telegram, or email. Victims of cyber fraud are advised to report cases without delay by calling 1930 or visiting www.cybercrime.gov.in.
