Converge Insurance, a firm focused on cyber risk management and underwriting, has appointed David Kimmel as its new Chief Financial Officer. Kimmel brings over 35 years of experience in insurance, investment banking, and emerging technologies. As the company expands and enhances its position in the cyber insurance sector, he will oversee its financial strategy.
“David brings a combination of financial acumen, operational leadership, and strategic vision,” said Tom Kang, CEO of Converge. “His track record spans decades of driving outcomes for insurance leaders across market cycles. Most recently, Kimmel co-founded Insurance Advisory Partners, providing guidance to companies in insurance and insurtech. Previously, he led financial services investment banking at JPMorgan and Deutsche Bank, managing billions in mergers and acquisitions, and served as CEO of CyberRiskPartners, a firm specializing in cyber risk analytics and transfer. Kimmel has also held positions on various boards and advisory committees in reinsurance, asset management, life and annuities, and Insurtech.
