Based in Chennai, Mr. Kannan joins the organization with extensive experience in global HR leadership, HR transformation and developing scalable people practices for technology-driven and services-based environments.
Before joining Consolidated Analytics, Kannan served as Senior Director, Regional Human Resources at Oportun. Working from Chennai in a remote capacity, he played a key role in establishing the fintech IT product Global Capacity Innovation Centre (GCC) in India. As the first employee of the center, he helped build the operation from the ground up and scaled it to a team of 250+ technology professionals.
In this role, he led the design and implementation of HR policies, processes and compliance frameworks for the greenfield captive technology centre. His responsibilities also included creating workforce plans aligned with business needs, enabling high-standard recruitment strategies, advising business leaders on people-related matters and change management and strengthening a high-performance culture across performance planning, succession, retention and workforce initiatives.
Earlier, Kannan worked as Director – People Services at Expleo Group, formerly known as SQS India BFSI Ltd. In this role, he led HR functions and supported the company’s people strategy and organizational restructuring aligned with the group’s global operations.
Prior to that, he spent several years with Tata Consultancy Services, where he held multiple leadership positions. These included HR Head – Retail, Travel Transportation & Hospitality Business Clusters, HR Head – Southern Region & US BFS, Country Head – APAC (India), and Delivery Center HR Head. Across these roles, he led strategic HR initiatives, partnered closely with business leadership, supported talent engagement and business transformation programs and managed HR service delivery for large associate populations.
Earlier in his career, Kannan served as Business Unit HR Manager at APC by Schneider Electric and as Executive Manager – HR at Sanmar Group. He also held earlier HR roles at T V Sundram Iyengar & Sons Ltd and TVS – Sundaram Brake Linings, where he developed strong expertise across manufacturing HR, HR operations and workforce enablement.
