Confluent, a leader in data streaming, has appointed Stephen Deasy as its new Chief Technology Officer. In his role, Deasy will oversee the engineering organisation’s vision, strategy, and daily execution while driving the company’s platform innovation. His focus will be on scaling Confluent’s data streaming infrastructure to support AI-driven and real-time intelligence on a global scale.

The appointment aims to strengthen Confluent’s core platform, enabling organisations to more easily develop and deploy real-time solutions such as agentic AI, hyper-personalised customer engagement, and automated operations.

Commenting on his new role, Deasy said, “Confluent is defining what is possible with streaming data, and I am excited to be part of that journey. I have seen firsthand how real-time data can transform businesses. Now, I get to work with the best in the field to make this powerful technology easier to adopt and more impactful for every organisation.”
